About Malic Acid
Malic Acid is an organic dicarboxylic acid found naturally in apples. It gives a smooth, lingering sour taste and is widely used as an acidulant and pH regulator.
Uses and applications
Food and beverage
Used as an acidulant in sour confectionery, soft drinks, juices and fruit preparations.
Cosmetics
Used as a pH adjuster and mild exfoliating acid.
Cleaning
Used as a chelating agent and descaler in cleaning products.
