Uses and applications
Food and wine
Used as an acidulant in drinks, confectionery and baking powder, and for acidity adjustment in wine.
Construction
Used as a retarder for gypsum plaster and cement.
Pharmaceutical
Used in effervescent tablets and as a chiral raw material.
