About Xanthan Gum

Xanthan Gum is a polysaccharide produced by fermentation. It gives high viscosity at low concentration and is stable across a wide range of pH, temperature and salts.

Uses and applications

Food

Used as a thickener and stabiliser in sauces, dressings, bakery and beverages, and in gluten-free baking.

Industrial

Used in drilling fluids, agrochemical suspensions and paints.

Personal care

Used as a thickener and suspending agent in creams, gels and toothpaste.
